Far East District Section and the HKIE Gas & Energy Division jointly organized China Delegation 2010 to Shanghai City, Changzhou City and Hangzhou City during 21 to 24 January 2010, in which several designated plants like Yangshan Shenshuigang LNG terminal, Zhangjiagang Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Zhangjiagang HKCG) and Hangzhou Natural Gas Company Limited (HZGAS) were visited.
The delegates first visited Yangshan Shenshuigang LNG terminal at Shanghai City. The workflow of the terminal and facilities like Intermediate Fluid Type Vaporizer (IFV) and Submerged Combustion Vaporizer (SCV) were introduced. After that, Shanghai Fiorentini Information Centre was visited during which various pressure regulating systems for LNG observed and the Enterprise Management was introduced.
The delegation in Changzhou City started by visiting a filter manufacturing plant which is the joint venture of Aerospace Energy and Shanghai Fiorentini Gas Equipment Co., Ltd.. Delegates were very much attracted by the working principle of NG filter. Different pressure regulating and filtering systems were also studied. Since then, Zhangjiagang HKCG, joint venture of the Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited in mainland China, was then visited. General Manager Mr. Edward Fok introduced the overview and development strategy of the company and followed by visits to the grid control centre and LNG gate station. Besides, the plant of Zhangjiagang Pohang Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. was visited. The production process of stainless steel and characteristics of facilities were witnessed.
The delegates then moved to Hangzhou City and joined sharing session organized by HZGAS. Managerial concepts such as HSE were conveyed. Delegates were benefited and gained business insight in management aspect.
