Message from Chairman of Far East District Section

It is my great pleasure and honour to be elected as the Chairman of the IGEM Far East District Section (FEDS) for Year 2009/2010.

The FEDS fully understands that high value-added learned society activities would facilitate our members to exchange views, share experiences, do networking and foster closer cooperation among themselves and with other gas engineering practitioners.

With untiring efforts and support from our members, the FEDS will continue to organize or jointly organize with liked minded local professional institutions learned society events.

As our close neighborhood, the FEDS aims to organize learned society events with our counterparts in Mainland China in the near future. Gas Engineering Update Workshop, symposium and conference are the major focuses.

The FEDS would also strive to promote the benefits of IGEM membership and encourage the gas engineering and managerial professionals in the Far East region to join the Institution. Young engineers are also our focus as they are future source to increase our membership growth.
